Inexperienced players often lose big to this kind of one-sided action. It’s maddening, especially if you’re the one that got crushed. This is a reason to try to limit your home games to people you trust and only play when you’re in the mood for it.
It’s equally frustrating when you’re playing thoughtful, sound poker at a table full of clueless drunks and newbies who keep calling with junk, raising with nothing, and getting lucky on the turn and river to rake in pot after pot. Eventually, this leads to a sick, numb feeling in your gut and you decide to quit. And then the guy across from you spikes an ace against your queens and giggles as he rakes in a huge pot.
